Artelia presents a strong annual result Sebastian Bonsing2022-07-29T14:23:15+02:0022. March 2021| The consulting engineering firm Artelia has performed well in its first year after the company joined forces with the international Artelia Group in December 2019. The company presents a strong annual result and, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Artelia has both top line and bottom line growth as well as a 6 % increase of number of employees. Flexibility and growth 2020 was highly influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic. Large parts of the market disappeared when Denmark went into lockdown. Luckily, the propensity to invest remained on other markets, making it possible for Artelia to continue its growth. Not least because of the employees’ and clients’ adaptability. New forms of collaboration were implemented, and employees were able to work from home. “We have achieved a strong annual result and this is especially because of our employees, who have remained ambitious and shown flexibility. I would also like to thank our clients and business partners for their collaborations – also at a distance” states Christian Listov-Saabye, CEO, Artelia. Development and expansion in the Nordic region Together with Artelia, Artelia is preparing for a continued expansion in the Nordic region. In the fall of 2020, Dr. techn. Olav Olsen became part of Artelia and Business Unit Nordics, which Artelia is head of. Dr. techn. Olav Olsen is strongly represented in Norway. The company has both national and international projects and they work with design of building structures, infrastructure, and off-shore projects. Artelia recently won a major Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in Iceland with Team Framtíðarlína consisting of Artelia, Gottlieb Paludan Architects and the Icelandic consulting firms HNIT and YRKI. The team is to design the region of Reykjavik’s new public infrastructure with the ambition to create one of the world’s most sustainable public transports systems. “The many projects and collaborations we have started with Artelia, confirm our strategy as well as our ambitions for continued growth in the Nordic region” Christian Listov-Saabye states.
