In 2019, MOE took the first big step towards the international engineering scene when MOE became part of the Artelia Group, which is among the largest engineering consultants in Europe. MOE is now ready to take the next step by changing its name to Artelia. From March 15, customers and partners will familiarise themselves with the new name Artelia.

From being primarily a Danish multidisciplinary consulting engineering company, MOE has become an international player in the global market together with Artelia Group. The partnership has resulted in several exciting international projects and the opportunity to bid for major projects in Denmark.

Artelia Group is one of the largest engineering consultancies in Europe, and the Artelia name is a well-known and recognised brand in many countries. For MOE the name change to Artelia is strengthening the current market profile.

By carrying the same name, we’re signalising our cohesion with Artelia Group, and that is important to us. It’s a change that boosts our international profile and simplifies the process when we bid for project assignments across national borders. Besides the name change, we remain the same. We are still the same multidisciplinary consulting and engineering company with more than 1,100 employees, focused on the sustainable development of the industry.

In 2019, when MOE joined Artelia Group, the objective was to become part of an international multidisciplinary consulting group which could make it easier to export the company’s core services as well as to offer more services. It secured the future of MOE, and the company now stands even stronger both in relation to attracting employees and customers but also when looking at competitors. When choosing Artelia, it was also quite deciding for MOE to become part of a group owned by the senior management and a group with a high degree of autonomy for the individual business units.

In 2019, at the time we joined Artelia Group, we decided not to change our name but simply allowed the cooperation to develop and to mature our relationship with Artelia over time. We’ve achieved that now and therefore think it’s the right and natural next step to change our name to Artelia”, says CEO Christian Listov-Saabye.

The sustainable agenda
Artelia in Denmark is one of Denmark’s largest consulting engineering companies with more than 1,100 employees in offices across the country. The sustainable agenda is an essential focal point for the company’s continued growth and development. Therefore, Artelia has made it a key issue to contribute to the development of more sustainable solutions within Construction, Energy & Industry, and Infrastructure, which together make up the company’s three business areas. The development of the value-adding solutions takes place in close collaboration with customers and partners. In this way, Artelia contributes to a more sustainable society and to solving some of the challenges of the future.

In the construction sector, Artelia has for example contributed to show how the carbon footprint can be further reduced and helped shape the new legal requirements for new building constructions.

Furthermore, Artelia operates in the energy sector, where it is one of the leading advisors in the field. The company’s specialists contribute to the rollout of district heating, modernisation of the electricity grid, construction of more climate-friendly production units and promotion of new technologies such as Power-to-X and Carbon Capture.

A similar agenda applies to the ongoing development of the infrastructure sector, where Artelia is promoting greener forms of transport such as cycling, optimising public transport, and creating mobility solutions that reduce the CO2 footprint.

We’re experiencing a greater demand for our expertise abroad, where we can benefit from Artelia’s connections and geographical presence in more than 40 countries. Sustainability, district heating and cycle traffic are among the good examples of competencies that we have found easier to export. We’re expecting further growth internationally in the coming years, as being part of a global group opens many new doors”, concludes Christian Listov-Saabye.

Artelia Group is a multidisciplinary consultancy, engineering and management group specialised within construction, infrastructure, water, energy, and industry with a total of more than 7,300 employees. Globally, the group has offices in more than 40 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and America.

Artelia Denmark is at the forefront of Artelia Business Unit Nordic, which consists of Artelia in Denmark and Dr.techn. Olav Olsen in Norway.
