Together with ERIK Arkitekter, we have taken over as client consultants for one of today’s most interesting hospital construction projects.

Children’s Hospital Copenhagen is the name of the new extension at Rigshospitalet. The 60,000-square-metre building will provide far better conditions for children, young people, women in childbirth and their families. Children’s Hospital Copenhagen will also be an innovative R&D and teaching hospital that sets brand-new standards for treatment.

The new building will stand on the corner of Juliane Maries Vej and Nørre Allé in central Copenhagen, where it will be linked to the existing Rigshospitalet via tunnel and bridge connections.

As client consultants, we will act as the Capital Region of Denmark’s permanent sounding board on realising this complex construction project. One of our first tasks is to define the engineering framework for the project by drawing on a wide range of competencies. At the same time, we will advise on procurement, cost management and ICT.

In addition, we will help to ensure the successful inauguration of the technically advanced building. Here, we are contributing experienced specialists within commissioning and facilities management.

We are looking forward to working together with the Capital Region of Denmark, Rigshospitalet, Ole Kirk’s Foundation, users, 3XN Architects, Arkitema Architects, NIRAS A/S, Kristine Jensen’s Tegnestue ApS and upcoming contractors.
