Together, Artelia, 3XN and HJ Landskab have won the competition to design Cobot Hub in Odense, Denmark.

The building, whose name is derived from the two words ‘collaborative’ and ‘robots’’, will consist of 20,000 square meters and form a joint home for Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots.

The offices will gather employees that are currently spread out across five different addresses in Odense and the idea is that the construction should allow for continued restructuring and adaptation to support future needs.

The winning proposal suggests a flexible framework with the ability to accommodate future needs and allows for reshaping and reuse of materials. Thus, the design team has developed a wooden construction with great potential for future recycling combined with a low carbon footprint.

In the architectural design, 3XN has drawn inspiration from a campus which includes open office landscapes and common areas where employees can meet informally. The expected completion of the project is set for 2023.
