Railways form an important part of public transport, and the role of LRT is continuously growing. Artelia has skills and experience in both areas. We consult on both building and refurbishment, and have expertise in power systems, access and traffic information systems.

Light Rail along Ring 3

Together with Per Aarsleff and Spanish IDOM, Artelia carrys out two of the contracts for contructions works to The Greater Copenhagen Light Rail. The strecthes passing through Lyngby-Taarbæk, Vallensbæk, Brøndby and Glostrup Municipality, to be exact.

The Greater Copenhagen Light Rail is scheduled to open i 2024, it will be the lenght of 28 km and have 29 stations. The Light Rail links 5 S-train lines and the regional train traffic across, creating a coherent highclass public transportation system in the greater area of Copenhagen.

Rebuilding Railway Station Buildings on the stretch Ringsted-Femern

The project involves rebuilding six railway station buildings on the stretch, including the establishment of new walkways in five stations. The stations are rebuild because the railway is being upgraded to a high speed railway. All design is, therefore, executed in accordance with requirements for speeds up to 200 km/h.

Services Project design of platforms, walkways and front areas. The project also includes management and maintance of the construction site and associated activities, such as working environment and safety including railway safety, temporary traffic rerouting, soil management, tremporary construction, BPU etc.

Vinge Station

Artelia managed the planning and project management for railways in the early phase of the project, in close coorperation with Banedanmark, DSB and Frederiksund Municipality. Close dialogue and involvement of all parties was emphasised throughout the process.
