Spray Tower for Cyclone evaporatorTo expand potato starch production, KMC has extended their facility with a new spray tower, which is 33 meters high and has a footprint of 20 x 20 meters. The tower houses a large cyclone evaporator that spans all four floors and is primarily used to evaporate potato slurry into starch. Due to high hygiene requirements, the steel structures are designed to be properly cleaned and have a minimum of horizontal surfaces. This means many of the structures are made as closed profiles with steel checker plate decks finished with aluminum plates.
