Energy planningKristian Erlandsen2024-08-05T15:58:45+02:00 Energy Planning In the initial phases of projects, we help ensure a solid basis for decision-making by providing strategic and economic advisory services. We uncover financial aspects and assist clients in navigating the complex energy policy landscape. Another important tool is EnergyPRO, which we use to model energy systems to analyze how upcoming changes and new technologies can be adapted to existing conditions. District Heating Planning for NorforsArtelia has a framework agreement with the utility company Norfors for consultancy services and district heating planning in the expansion of the district heating network in four of the company’s five owner municipalities. The expansion requires an increase in production capacity by approximately 130 MW of heat. This increased capacity will allow many households to switch to district heating, and with full district heating deployment, it will more than double Norfors’ current district heating system. Client Norfors Services Screening af anlægsplaceringer for nye anlæg, hydrauliske analyser, projektforslag og rådgivning om energiplanlægningen. Heating Plan for FaxeBased on the agreement between the Danish government and KL-Local Government Denmark on accelerated planning for phasing out gas for heating, a heating plan analysis is being prepared for Faxe Municipality. The heating plan analyzes the economic potential for establishing collective district heating for all natural gas-designated areas in the municipality, which includes Dalby, Faxe Ladeplads, Karise, Olstrup, and Rønnede, as well as parts of Haslev and Faxe. Company economics, user economics, and societal economics have been calculated for all areas to assess profitability. User and societal economics are compared with individual heating, where heat pumps are assumed to be the most obvious alternative. The purpose of the heating plan is to inform the municipality’s residents about the potential for district heating rollout in their area, as well as alternative heating solutions. This aims to make it easier for residents to decide on a new heating source and thereby accelerate the phase-out of gas for heating. Client Faxe Kommune Services GIS analyses of heating demand in urban areas have been prepared, which include BBR information for the municipality’s buildings. Based on this, thermo-hydraulic models have been developed for each area, which are used to estimate the construction budget. Overall economy, including investment and operating costs, have been calculated in the economic assessments. Area Analysis for Heat Production in FaxeFaxe Utility Company aims to offer district heating to residents in Dalby, Faxe Ladeplads, Karise, and Rønnede. Artelia has assisted with analyses of possible locations for potential heat production facilities. The goal is to establish large heat pumps and utilize local heat sources. Therefore, Artelia has conducted an analysis of the potential for utilizing surplus energy. Artelia has provided a comprehensive analysis, which included experts in geotechnics, environmental science, and energy technology. This included assessing the possibilities for utilizing surplus heat in the four towns. Based on the analysis, Artelia has provided recommendations on the most suitable locations for potential future heat production. The analysis work has been presented at public meetings in each of the four towns. Client Faxe Utility Company Services Geotechnical and environmental screening.
